The end of the school year is so bittersweet. You have finally gotten into a good rhythm with your schedule, know your child’s teacher, made a few friends with the other parents…and then it all ends. A teacher thank you collage is a great way to remember the year. This teacher appreciation gift is sure to make your child’s teacher smile! Be sure to share it with the other parents in the class as well!
The wonderful world of Pinterest (follow Coupons Are Great on Pinterest) led me to Tutu’s and Turtles A Little Thank-You Gift for Teachers. I instantly fell in love! As a former teacher I know first hand that gift cards and homemade notes are great, but photos that capture each child in the class will last a lifetime. I included the children holding the year so that the teacher knows exactly what school year it was.
I created the above collage using PhotoShop Elements (but you can use the PicMonkey collage online if that is more your style) and had it printed at Walgreens. For each child I opened the picture, created a new layer, and dragged the photo to the blank canvas. It is not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but conveys a great message. Get really creative and print the photos of the child and create the collage on paper or card stock for a truly homemade feel.
This teacher thank you gift has brought many smiles over the years. I highly recommend you do it!
