Candy canes are so much fun in the winter months. Since they are just red and white they are easy to make with glitter. After a quick trip to the Dollar Tree I picked up a tall white candle to bring home to glitter. Little Sister watched as I did this craft and she did a happy dance when she saw the finished product. It is pretty amazing how a little big of glitter goes a long way!
Materials Required to Make Glitter Candy Cane Candle Holders

- Tall white candle already in a glass (or a glass)
- Paint brush or Makeup Sponges/cosmetic sponges
- Glue (I use a 1:1 glue to water mixture that I keep in an old jelly jar. It is very easy to paint with and is versatile enough to use on many different crafts). You can also use Modge Podge if you have it on hand
- Red Glitter
- Painters Tape
- 2 Pieces of Paper
How to Make this Glitter Candy Cane Candle Holder Craft
Tape the candle holder in stripes from top to bottom. I used 1″ painters tape and made 1″ strips across my candle.

Once the stripes are taped down, brush glitter onto the glass and sprinkle glitter. Put one piece of paper under your project when you are springing the glitter so that you can sprinkle the loose glitter again.

Allow your project to dry. If you notice there are gaps/holes where the glitter did not stick evenly then brush glue on the entire section and reglitter it. You can also do a final layer of glue with no glitter on top to seal it all in as well.
Once your project is completely dry you can remove the tape. You will have an adorably striped candy cane candle holder when you are done!
