This week was our first week of summer vacation at home (since we got back from our Disney Cruise). It was also a week of going to the doctor! Little Sister went for her cough and ended up having a double ear infection. Less than 20 hours later we were back at the doctor’s office because Big Sister had pink eye. Then I went to the doctor the next morning for a sinus infection. My sweet husband has a hairline fracture on his rib that he went to the doctor for. Four visits to the doctor within 7 days….crazy! Here is a little bit of what we did over the past week.
Little Sister had a party with all of her toys. She could play with those toys forever, all by herself, and be perfectly content. She has a great imagination!
While Little Sister was in the play room, Big Sister was in the kitchen doing school work. Nope, I am not even kidding! She did 8 to 10 pages in her workbook.
Little Sister had her four-year-old photo shoot….although she is almost four-and-a-half. She wanted to bring our camera so she could be a photographer too. This is a photo of her Rapunzel that she captured.
While searching for a little device so that we can get rid of our Comcast telephone line we were at Walmart. I found this fabric on clearance. It makes 2 Dinosaur Train capes. And the price was amazing…..only 50¢ TOTAL for what you see in the photo above. Two capes for 50 cents??? I am so excited. The pieces are actually cut out and ready to be sewn. It will be my first time using bias tape. I am a little scared!
Little Sister painted Minnie Mouse. I totally love her artwork!
My husband pressure washed the driveway. I think the total time was 4 to 6 hours to do it all. But it looks amazing now! You can totally see the dirt line in the photo above. Ick!
We tried to play Battleship. The age on the box is 7 and Big Sister isn’t 6 yet. We put the game away after about 10 minutes. But I have to give her lots of credit. She tried very hard!
We made coconut chicken….and it was a HUGE FAILURE! We mixed sweetened coconut with breadcrumbs and baked the chicken. Don’t do this at home….just promise me! The girls picked off the crust and my husband wanted nothing more than to excuse himself from dinner and go to Lenny’s to pick up a sub!
We had another silly string fight this week. That was BEFORE the driveway was pressure washed…thankfully! Silly string is so much fun!
We hope you had a great week too!

You’re crazy, coconut chicken is one of our favorite dishes! The trick is to use the extra crunchy Shake n’ Bake – I’ve done it with just breadcrumbs and it’s WAY better with the extra crunch shake n’ bake. Also add some cayenne pepper and some curry seasoning. DELISH!
