There are a lot of people who make a school run smoothly. During teacher appreciation you may want to give a small gift to numerous people at the school, but you may not want to spend a fortune doing so. As a room mom I was responsible for taking care of our monthly teacher appreciation days. In May we celebrated the administrative staff as well as the cafeteria staff. There were 15 people on my list and I added two janitors, bringing the total to 17 gifts. When you think about 17 gifts and you have $18 in your budget your brain kind of explodes a little (at least mine did). When I broke this down to $1 a person I decided that a lottery ticket would be the best teacher appreciation gift for so many people. To make it more fun, I created a colorful printable that says “We won the lottery with you at our school. Thank you for all that you do.”
I could have also written “We are lucky to have such great teachers!” or “Thanks for making this year a LOTTO fun” and kept with the lottery appreciation theme.
