Weekend Family Fun: August 13th

Is it Back to School time for you too?  I think states that head to school earlier than Labor Day are weird – and we live in one of those states.  This weekend is the last hurrah before school starts for us.  If you don’t already have your weekend packed full of fun, you may want to get out of the house and in to another air conditioned building for a change of pace.  Having fun as a family does not have to cost a lot of money out of pocket.  It is possible to find free activities to do with your children each weekend at major retailers coast to coast. A big round of applause to these major retailers who offer free activities this weekend!

JoAnn Fabric and Craft Store: Saturday August 13th from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm – FREE Crayola Model Magic Event
3:00 pm until 5:00 pm  - Fabric Crafting with Wrights & Jacquard (you buy the vase, they supply the embelishments)

Kidtoons Films: Various times throughout the weekend (The Atlanta theater show times is 10:59 on both Saturday and Sunday)
Watch Candyland: The Great Lollipop Adventure – a family friendly movie with a family friendly price!

Lakeshore Learning: Saturday August 13th  from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm
Children will make dinosaur puppets.

Lowes Build and Grow Clinic: Saturday August 13th at 10:00 am
Children will create a school house photo locker (Free)

Michaels: Saturday August 13th 10:00 am until 12:00 pm – Clay Pot Bookworm Event (Must Purchase Clay Pot)
Saturday August 13th 10:00 am until 12:00 pm – Collaborative Painting (Free – would call store to see what this is about if you are interested)
Saturday August 13th 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm – Duck Tape Folder Event (Free)

Walmart: Various time throughout the weekend
Check to see if your local Walmart has any demonstrations, samples, or events planned this weekend.
