Being a frugal mom can be tough.  Not only do we have to find the time to keep up-to-date on our coupons and the deals, but we also have to find time to get to all the stores each week that have the deals!  If you are anything like me, many of those trips to the stores include carting your children along with you, and that often makes the task all that much harder.  I have a three-year old and one-year old so shopping is quite fun some days.  It always seems to be the days when I am trying to get in and out quick that no one wants to sit in the cart or behave at all.  I try to have lollipops on hand, but those can be a bit messy with my one-year old and anything else is a mess waiting to happen if I try to give him a snack. 

For the past week, I have had the luxury of using the OnTray for my shopping trips, and it has been a lifesaver! 

Now instead of two kids not wanting to be in the shopping cart at all, I have two kids fighting for the front seat in the shopping cart so they can snack out of the “cool new tray” (as my three-year-old calls it).  This snack tray is perfect for on-the-go moms of young children.  It just snaps on the handle of the shopping cart, you slide the lid off, and you have yourself a little tray right in reach of your little one for their snacking pleasure!  There is no more picking up snack cups off the floor as they drop them down each aisle!  My son particularly enjoyed snacking on goldfish this week with it. 

I will say that at almost 18-months (and being a rambunctous little boy), he did figure out how to pull it off the cart after several days of using it, but as long as I keep it filled with the snacks he loves, he is content with just snacking and I have been able to get my shopping done!  I actually haven’t dreaded the few in-and-out trips to the store I needed to do, and I’m VERY excited to have this on my next round of triples or super doubles!  I have been trying to keep our OnTray filled with snacks and stored in my coupon bag for my trips to the store, but I must say after surfing OnTray’s site, it does look like it would be fun to bring even without the kids to store my coupons that I need to hand to the cashier!!  And I have to say that I love this even more because it was invented by a mom herself!  Who doesn’t know what we need as moms better than other moms?
