Even beyond the benefits of the experience being closest to nursing, I am a huge fan of the cleaning process associated with these bottles.  Who wants to spend the day scrubbing sour milk out of bottles?  Sure, there are some other great bottles out there that are supposed to help reduce gas, colic, and spit-up but from my experience, they can be a complete pain to clean!  The last thing I have time for with a newborn (and additional children) is to spend the ten minutes of free time I have cleaning bottles!  The Drop-in system has worked so well for us.  The liners are disposable so I just toss them out after the feeding.  All that leaves me with is the plastic outer bottle (which is really only holding the sterile liner and nothing the baby’s mouth comes in contact with), the nipple of the bottle, and the ring that holds the nipple and liner to the outer bottle.  I would rinse those pieces and toss them in my dishwasher.  When the dishwasher finishes, I used sterilization bags that went in my microwave and just steam-sterilized the nipple and the ring as an extra precaution.  The entire process was extremely quick and much, much easier than having to own a bottle brush to scrub all that milk out of (because we all know that most of us never clean the bottle immediately after use).
