Ripley’s Believe It or Not Srikingly True Giveaway (ends 12/05)

Tabletop books are so fun, especially when they engage children.  Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Strikingly True is a new collection of the strangest stories from all over the world.  There truly is a mind-boggling number of bizarre facts, stories, and lists in this book.  Some of the photos are amazing and definitely conversation starters.  In fact, I have page 140 bookmarked to show my husband the Monster Limo at a whopping 70 feet long.  I have never ridden in a limo, but I doubt a $1,000 per hour limo ride could convince my husband to book the Monster Limo.

For my girls we have a few different pages bookmarked including the pink grasshopper, alpine ibexes climbing vertically, and the dust bunnies (ewww).   I actually saw an earlier version of Ripley’s Believe It or Not in my daughter’s kindergarten classroom just last week.

Strikingly True also includes a dramatic 8-page gatefold pullout that celebrates the sideshow performers who appeared at Ripley’s first ever Odditorium—at the 1933 Chicago World’s Fair.
