Family IS great! This week was a busy week, that’s for sure. It felt like our family went non-stop for much of the week. It was refreshing to make it to Saturday. This week we:
Dressed ourself for preschool in a style very similar to Little Miss Matched. Don’t you wish you could get away with outfits like this? The leggings have tiny black polka dots on them and the ribbon says “Winner.”
We were very serious about washing our fruits and veggies after our trip to Aldi. Normally my younger daughter helps. This was the first time my older daughter has really wanted to help and she had the perfect eyewear accessory to go with it. Thank you Lowes for your free weekend activities and those goggles!
My younger daughter received speech homework!!! This is a big deal because the therapist has to think the child has progressed far enough to do the exercises independently at home. My daughter had 30 speech sessions last year and started speech again in January and this is her first time getting homework. She was thrilled!
Chalk outlines in the driveway were fun. It is crazy hot in Atlanta for it only being March. The temperature was 81 and I kind of felt like I was going to melt when I was laying there!
We snacked on homemade popcorn. After reading Unjunk Your Junk Food we changed a lot of our eating habits. Our popcorn maker is our new best friend. Making popcorn with the girls is so much fun!
The two authors of this website got together for a few hours! The kids had a fun play date and we had some great conversation. It has been a very long time since the kids were all together and it took some warming up, but by the time it was time for Jessica and her family to leave the kids were playing happily and having a great time.
There are all five of our kids. They are 4, 5, 9 month, 5, and 3. Fun times!
We attended a very special performance of The Grouchy Ladybug performed by my daughter’s kindergarten class. She was the narrator and wowed us all.
I made bunny pancakes on Saturday morning. Okay, okay, okay. That is not a bunny pancake. It was kind of a fail so I turned it in to a crocodile. Pretty good thinking, right?
Here is the bunny pancake that I made last year that turned out great!
I created my culinary masterpiece – Greek Yogurt Egg Salad. We are a family that does not consume mayo. I have a healthy love for Greek yogurt though. I am still working on perfecting the recipe, but this was pretty darn good!

Great photos and events! I used to hate mayo but nut it is a stable 🙂
I don’t even know how that is possible? 😛 To have a hate relationship with mayo and then to have it be a constant. That seems blasphemous!
Love!
Thanks Jenn!
