I have always said that we would NEVER go to Disney World in the months of July or August. Standing in lines in the unbearable heat is not my idea of a good time. But my brother, sister-in-law, and nephew are going to be in Florida in July so it just makes sense that we head down to see them. They live in California so going to Florida is a big deal for them. The drive down from Georgia isn’t such a big deal for us.
My younger daughter, age 3, is BIG in to princesses and Minnie Mouse. I know this will be a very magical time for her and her sister (age 4.5). But I am nervous! Have you experienced Disney in July? What tips do you have? Any recommendations on places to stay? Swimming is a mandatory part of vacation!
I look forward to reading your tips.

Last time we went was in may and it was so hot with my 2 yo at the time ugh! I had to carry him a lot and we were too hot to really take many pictures. Try mousesavers.com I think that our the site we got our ticket deals on.
Hot, horrible, nasty. But I live in Florida, so I know the difference :). Try World Quest and Lake Buena Vista Resort & Spa. Both are very close to Disney, but they have one, two, and three bedroom suites (read “room to move” and kitchens). Typically they are reasonable (don’t know about summer rates) and nice. Both have pools.
There is a deal blogging mom and her website is couponingtodisney.com. She has all kinds of tips on her blog. I would check it out.
