It’s true. I was a yard sale disbeliever prior to today. No, I didn’t know exactly what I was going to do with my stockpile that somehow managed to overtake a quarter of our pretty large closet. “Donate it” I told myself over and over again. And I did donate some of the stuff, but not enough. So with the overflowing piles of toothpaste and Glade products coupled with a mountain high bathtub of baby stuff I decided it was T-I-M-E! This morning I held my first yard sale since couponing and it was a HUGE success. Low and behold the baby items are still here, buuuuuuuuuuut I am no longer the owner of 27 tubes of Colgate toothpaste and about $200 worth of other stockpile stuff! I couldn’t believe just how quickly people snatched up shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and toothpaste. Amazing.
So now I think I am even more about the “frees.” I will still continue to donate a bunch of stuff, but the profit from a quick and easy yard sale is too enticing to pass!
