Five years ago today I started a new job – the job as parent. The past five years have been filled with triumphs (like sleeping through the night again) and struggles (how do you deal with sassy). Five years ago I didn’t know that my job would be so challenging or so rewarding. Today as I celebrate my older daughter’s fifth birthday I am filled with mixed emotions. It seems impossible that my little girl could really be so big!
