When bloggers post much less than normal then they must be busy with real life. That is incredibly true for me! Each January and September my mother-in-law comes from Oregon to Georgia for the girls’ birthdays. Since it s a 3,000 mile trek that takes 12 hours (there is a whole southern part of Oregon that is not fun to fly out of) she stays for 8 to 10 days per visit. While some people may shudder with the thought of their mother-in-law at their house for that long I can assure you that I am not one of those people. My husband and I have dated since we were seniors in high school. My mother-in-law made my prom dress for me…..we go waaaay back. It is more fun crafting with my mother-in-law than sitting in the office chair. Although….admittedly I did sit in this chair while she took over the Grandma role and played with the girls. It was so nice having a break from the whining, crying, and fighting.
Over the past 10 days our family has:

Run a Race - even grandma ran!

Crafted with Bottle Caps – Still learning!

Watched Lion King 3D

Made school lunches – simplified with our EasyLunchboxes. Even my husband uses one (now that I make his lunch).

Made Tinkerbell tulle wands

Paid $2.99 per gallon of gas – using my mother-in-laws Kroger discount – I saved 30¢ per gallon!

Celebrated a 5th birthday – with dinner at Red Robin!

Created Halloween Tulle Wands!

Made more Halloween decorations.

Sewed a camera strap (tutorial coming in October).

And we even played hide-and-seek at the park – in some no very sanitary hiding places at that.
Hopefully this means I will have more time to post again! I am definitely in need of saving rather than spending right now.
