For the second year in a row we attended Yo Gabba Gabba Live at the fabulous Fox Theatre in Atlanta. The Fox is probably my favorite place to go in the city. I love everything about it! For a kid’s theater venue it is just as perfect as an adult’s venue.

The 2011 performance is titled Yo Gabba Gabba Live It’s Time to Dance. From the title I should have deduced that there would be ….. Lots of dancing involved. For some reason I thought the show was going to be more like the 2010 show which was more like one of their regular television shows with a theme. Yo Gabba Gabba Live It’s Time to Dance definitely lived up to the “dance” part of its name! There was dancing galore! Children of all ages got up and moved and grooved – some even got on their parents shoulders for the ultimate view of the stage.
Some of the coolest parts were the special effects. My daughters love the leaves falling in the “It Is Fall” song ….As well as the snow falling in the winter song.

A Yo Gabba Gabba show would not be complete without a musical guest. Atlanta welcomed Arrested Development as the special guest. The crowd was very excited about this

My three-and-a-half-year-old and I enjoyed ourselves! My five-year-old was being five and was super grumpy all day. She collected her leaves and snow and still has them a month later, so I would go ahead and say she enjoyed it! Yo Gabba Gabba definitely knows how to put on a live show. For fans, they do not disappoint. Children of all ages enjoyed themselves. It is actually kind of amazing that the Fox Theater can be packed with children, quite a few under the age of one, and many more under the age of two, and there is no chaos. Kids truly enjoy Yo Gabba Gabba Live!
