As I sit here thinking about what to say about Saucy Spirits the lyrics from an old Whitney Houston song pop in to my head: “I believe the children are our future, teach them well and let them lead the way.” Saucy Spirits was started by a ten-year-old boy named Ryan. One year later, at the age of eleven Ryan has learned to support his local community by making Wine Jelly with (mostly) locally grown organic produce grown right here in Atlanta!

You may be asking yourself “What is wine jelly?!”
Wine jelly is just that, jelly that is made from wine. No, it won’t get you drunk, and yes it’s okay for everyone to eat, even kids! It’s the wonderfully rich flavor of wine, paired with different fruits, spices, herbs, and even chocolate! Our jellies can be used in place of regular jellies, or, if you feel like living dangerously, they can become part of a sauce, glaze, dressing, marinade, dip, etc. The possibilities are endless!
Ryan personally makes each batch of Wine Jelly himself, although his mom Tiffany does help with the processing and his dad Kenneth does all the pouring. He’s quite the expert on the jelly making process, and will gladly tell you all about it if you ask.
This holiday season Saucy Spirits has several gift set options that appeal to every budget, from $4 up to $50. With 10 flavors to choose from, it’s easy to find something for everyone on your list! Each gift set includes Saucy Spirits gourmet wine jelly as well as products produced by other small Atlanta area vendors. If you are thinking you want to start smaller, Saucy Spirits jellies are sold in individual jars are available in 2 sizes: Small ($4) and Large ($7).
