So, there is a website called Klout that tells others what topics you are influential in. This is a helpful blogging tool. Since we are a site that loves coupons it makes sense that we are influential about deals, coupons, drugstores, and related topics. But sometimes when I log in to Klout I can’t help but smile when it shows that we are influential about Pirates. Really, I am not making that up!
I think this is also a huge compliment. I have two little girls and we really truly are pirate obsessed at our house. In a world where pink is for girls and blue is for boys (or so it seems) I am happy to have two girls who love pirates. Pirates are not one of those “boy” activities in our house. Oh no! We have pirate dress up clothes, pirate swords, pirate crafts, and Tinkerbell.
I found the most adorable Pirate hats at EcoMom and tucked them in the girls Christmas stockings. They wore those hats for 2 days!
Peter Pan is HUGE, HUGE, HUGE. I have printed more Peter Pan coloring sheets in the past 2 months than anything else….ever! My five-year-old likes to draw pictures of the Peter Pan cast – including Wendy, Hook, Peter Pan, Michael, John, Tinkerbell, and Tick Tock (that’s the alligator if you didn’t know).
Our love for Peter Pan and Pirates is so much that my mother-in-law sewed the most adorable Tinkerbell costume for my younger daughter. She wears this costume on a daily basis. Seeing her in it makes me smile!
Since we have Klout in Pirates I figured another post about our pirate adventures was perfect. 🙂
