Throwing away food really bothers me, as I am sure it does a lot of you. My girls argue over sharing yogurts. I know they won’t eat the whole thing, but when I split it between the two they refuse to eat any. <rolls eyes> We recently froze our child sized yogurt and ate them as a frozen treat. The result was a huge success. And yes, I am that mom who makes her almost-four-year-old wear a bib when she is eating brightly colored drippy food.
First we took two yogurts and stuck a utensil in it. I cut the foil because I didn’t want the girls to eat little pieces later. I had a plastic fork and spoon on hand so we used each. In hindsight, this is much better with spoons.
We forgot about our frozen yogurts for a few days so they were really frozen when the girls ate them.
Despite being frozen they were apparently more delicious frozen than straight out of the fridge. The girls ate every last drip.
Can you see how the fork may just be a bad idea? I can’t wait to try this again with a little bit healthier yogurt!

Yum! Great idea too 🙂
We keep go-gurt on hand in the freezer at all times-the kids don’t even realize it is yogurt & will often select a “pop” over ice cream & they think they are the luckiest kids ever when we let them have one for breakfast!!!
When I was a kid, I loved GoGurt straight out of the freezer. Delicious!
this is the only way i can get my BIG kids to eat the danonino.
