Review: Temple Touch Thermometer

I recently had the opportunity to review the Temple Touch Thermometer which was sent to my by MomSelect.  Oh.my.gosh!  Every family needs one of these thermometers.  My daughters are three and sixteen days away from being two (not that I am counting down the days until her Minnie Mouse birthday party or anything) and we have tried numerous thermometers in the past.  I was happy to move from the newborn stage so I didn’t have to feel bad about taking their temperatures rectally.  After that we tried a multitude of thermometers – scan over your forehead, goes on your forehead, stick under your tongue, tuck under your armpit – you name it, we tried it.  After each attempt at temperature taking I grumbled to myself “I should just stick with the other way.  At least it worked.”  Not any more!!  I was more than hesitant to try another thermometer and mentally categorized it into the “never going to work properly” category.  But I am here to say those three little words that everyone loves to hear, but hates to say: I was wrong.  Yessirree!!  The Temple Touch Thermometer actually works!  Not only does it work, but it works super fast and appears to be accurate.  The absolute best part about this product is the cost.  It is an unbelievable $9.94 at Walmart.  If I were shopping for a digital thermometer and saw one at that price I would more than likely skip over it.  Not anymore!  It is going to be part of my gift baskets for new parents.  A gift for under $10 that really works and is incredibly functional is just my kind of present.
