Last week as I scanned my emails I saw that CommonSenseWithMoney mentioned RecycleBank. I didn’t look in to the deal too much though (and I should have since I could have picked up two $5 Huggies diapers coupons). Fast forward to this week – I was perusing the Rite Aid thread and there was a whole bunch of talk about RecycleBank. Curious, I signed up and received my 100 points for doing so.
The premise is simple: RecycleBank partners with cities and haulers to reward households for recycling. Households earn RecycleBank Points that can be used to shop at over 1,500 local and national businesses.
The reward for you is fun! You can redeem your points for coupons or gift cards! Two things that immediately caught my attention were Coke coupons (think MyCokeReward type coupons) and Huggies coupons. There were also coupons for Free Seventh Generation Dish Detergent (you could get two) or Free Seventh Generation All Purpose Cleaner.
I am not quite sure how you continue to earn points, but the initial 100 free points for signing up is quite nice.
