Do you wish there were more G rated movies to watch in theaters with your children? Do you also wish that your children were allowed to get up and move during your movie theater experience rather than sit there is shushed silence? Then The Oogieloves Big Balloon Adventure is the movie that you are looking for!
You may be thinking: “This movie looks weird. Why would I want to go to the theaters to see it?” My answer to you: We need to change the way Hollywood makes movies for our children. It’s that simple. By supporting a G rated movie you are telling all those Hollywood execs that parents care about what their children are watching. You are telling them that you value movies with a good cause and without violence and words that aren’t necessarily “bad words” but are words you don’t want your kid saying (stupid, dumb).
Kenn Viselman, the creator of The Oogieloves in the BIG Balloon Adventure (due out “Oogust” 29th) believes in the The Power of Mom. So much so he and his team have been traveling around the country engaging bloggers in conversations about what constitutes quality G-rated entertainment. Other than a few wildlife documentaries and a re-release in a popular children’s movie in 3-D, Hollywood has completely ignored the youngest moviegoer. The best they give us for our kids – animated PG films – are loaded with aggression and bloodshed.
Moms: You have the power to change what Hollywood pushes on your children. In fact, there is no voice more powerful than yours. You control the home, the family budget and your child’s welfare. Aren’t you tired of seeing your children confused by the aggression towards their beloved movie characters? There’s no place for such violence in a children’s movie. Enough is enough.
SYNOPSIS:
THE OOGIELOVES IN THE BIG BALLOON ADVENTURE is a simple story of a loving friendship, a surprise birthday party and a BIG adventure…It’s a beautiful day in Lovelyloveville. It’s Schluufy’s birthday and the Oogieloves (Goobie, Zoozie, and Toofie) along with their friends J. Edgar, Windy Window and Ruffy, are organizing a party (Ssshh! It’s a secret). Everything is going along just perfectly until J.Edgar trips and loses the last five magical balloons in all of Lovelyloveville – OH NO!!! The Oogieloves immediately take action and set out to find the magical balloons in time to save their friend’s party. Along the way the they meet some very interesting characters indeed, including Dotty Rounder (Cloris Leachman); Bobby Wobbly (Carey Elwes); Milky Marvin(Chazz Palminteri), Rosalie Rosebud (Toni Braxton) and Lola and Lero Sombrero (Christopher Lloyd and Jaime Pressly). Can these new friends help them recover the magical balloons and get back to the cottage in time to celebrate Schluufy’s surprise birthday?
ARE YOU READY FOR THE OOGIELOVES? Theaters and showtimes are NOW available on Fandango.com and Movietickets.com. Put in your zipcode and start planning for Oogust 29th TODAY! At opening day every child gets a fun wand that glows in the dark — it really helps make the film more of a family musical event than a regular ‘ole movie.
