When life hands you an infection all you need is a prescription to feel better. But one of the worst things about taking a prescription is remembering if you actually took it. Counting pills helps with the confusions, but it is very impractical to measure a child’s liquid prescriptions. It only took 5 years of parenting plus 3o-something years of my own life, but I finally figured out the perfect device for keeping track of prescriptions. Are you ready for it……..

Use a simple white board to keep track on prescriptions! Yes, sometimes you can find them in the dollar section at Target or Walmart and my guess is that they may even carry them at the Dollar Tree or you could buy the $7.00 White Board on Amazon. The white board is a prescription life saver in our house.
Normally we take antibiotics for 10 days in our house so I write the letters of the week until I have all 10 going down the board. Then I write AM/PM at the top. We give a check mark for each time the prescription medication is taken. If we miss a dose (alas, it happens) there is a big white hole on the board that let’s us know that we need to make up a dose. This chart looks different than our normal chart because we are on Z-Packs, which are only 5 days. But you get the point, right?
Seriously, this is genius!
Do you have any tips for ways to get through a round of sickness?
