2 Must Have Money Saving Phone Apps: Ibotta and Endorse

In the age of digital technology the ways that we save money are constantly changing. Finding and clipping coupons is not for everyone. Luckily money saving phone apps are the newest way to reduce your out of pocket expenses as they allow us to earn cash back for purchasing groceries and products in the stores. Some people (myself included) may initially be concerned about these new apps.  With research it is possible to weed out the duds.  Here are 2 must have money saving phone apps that I have on my prepaid iPhone.

Ibotta

Earn cash back for purchasing select brand name groceries and products in select stores.  There are over 50 stores that participate in Ibotta including CVS, Target, Walmart, and more.  From your phone you will learn facts, take polls, watch videos, share offers on facebook and you will receive an offer amount for that specific product (examples include Listerine, Neosporin, Pine-Sol, Coca Cola Zero, International Delight, and more).  Head to the store, buy the item required for the offer, scan your receipt, scan the product bar code, and wait.  Your receipt will be approved quickly, and you will watch the money add up in your account.  Once you have $5 in your account you can cash out via PayPal.

Endorse

Earn cash back for purchasing a broad range of products (some brand specific others generic) at a range of stores, restaurants, and gas stations.   You can earn from 10% to 100% cash back on your purchases everywhere you shop.  The list includes Wlamart, Target, Kroger, Safeway, Walgreens, CVS, Whole Foods, Costco, Trader Joe’s and more.  Each week (Thursday for me) a new set of products is released.  Just open the app on your phone to see what items you can earn cash back on.  Head to the store to buy the item, scan your receipt, put a checkmark on the item that you purhcased, submit, and wait.  Your receipt will be approved and your money will accrue.  You can choose to receive your money via PayPal ($5 minimum) or an actual check ($25 minimum).  Send in 10 receipts and you will receive a free $5 donation to the school of your choice!

Between these two money saving apps, I like Endorse more.  I have saved money on gasoline, paper towels, turkey, ham, oatmeal, Starbucks coffee, diapers, and more.  I love that there are no store restrictions and that you can shop wherever you want.  Just to be perfectly clear, I have both apps on my phone and I use them both.  Saving money is completely awesome and these two apps will help you save a ton of it!
