Do you want to do an easy craft to spice up your house for Halloween? Making Candy Corn trees is easy and pretty inexpensive too. My mother-in-law saw this idea in the Woman’s Day magazine and decided to make it with the girls. This was a little too advanced for my four-year-old and definitely too much work for the 2.5-year-old.
Materials:
Candy Corn
Sticks – from your yard (frugal option) or from a craft store (ours are from a craft store)
Base – think cute! I bought buckets from Target’s $1 spot
Weight for the base – foam, marbles, rocks, heavy paper. Use your imagination for frugal ideas
Hot Glue (possibly)
Directions:
1. Get the base set up. You want it to be a bit heavy so it doesn’t tip over
2. Place your stick in the base.
3. Adhere/stick candy corn to the sticks. Since our sticks were craft sticks that previously had pumpkins on them they were perfect to stick the candy corn on to. If you get sticks from your yard you may need hot glue.
4. Admire your completed project!
