In the year that I have been a couponer I have tinkered with different ways to organize my coupons. I started by not cutting my inserts, but that stopped when I realized I was flipping through 5-7 copies of the same booklet getting the same coupon and that was taking a ton of time. So then I started cutting only the ones I wanted and putting them in baseball inserts. That didn’t last long. I have finally found a way that works for me. I always go to the store with a written list and am in the mindset that if something is on good clearance and I miss a deal because I didn’t have my coupons, oh well. I have not figured out a system (nor do I want one) of taking all my coupons shopping with me with a two-and-a-half year old and a fourteen-month-old. So, this is what I have evolved to.
First, I start with all my inserts:
Then I lay them out:
Straighten and staple:
Get ready to cut:
Then I put them in envelopes according to if they are food or not food. I label each envelope with the date:
And finally I stick them in my pretty little pink box in their file folder:
Soon I will post what my carry to store coupon organizer looks like.
