As the weather warms up there is no doubt that BUBBLES are going to be an integral part of outdoor play. This spring we have had numerous containers of bubbles spill on the garage floor already this season. After seeing the original bubble refill station on Pinterest I knew that I needed to recreate this! (You can follow me on Pinterest here if you are interested).
This morning we headed to Big Lots looking for the velcro ball game (which we didn’t find) and I found a plastic tea container. However, the spout was not kid friendly and was barely adult friendly so I left it on the shelf. Then I stubbled across this skinny, BPA free, refrigerator water container for $5.00. It is awesome! The fact that it is skinny and had a great spout makes me very happy. It will take up much less room on our garage shelf since it is so small.
After drawing some bubbles on the container we filled up a cup and headed outside to blow bubbles this afternoon. When we were done it was a breeze to open the lid and pour the leftover solution back into the Bubble Refill Container. We now have a practical solution to storing bubble solution!
Now to leave you with a song about bubbles that I learned during student teaching:
I Had a Little Turtle, His Name is Tiny Tim
There was a little turtle,
His name was Tiny Tim
I put him in the bathtub to see if he could swim
He drank up all the water
(Slurp)
He ate up all the soap
(chew)
He tried to eat the bathtub
But it wouldn’t go down his throat
Bubble, bubble, bubble (repeat 4 times, on the fourth add “POP” and clap your hands!)
