Are you looking for a preschool Letter X item to bring in for Show and Tell? This paper Xylophone craft is one of those crafts that is very easy for children to do with little guidance. Perfect for Letter X show and tell! You can work on colors, rainbows, and musical instruments with this craft!
Paper Xylophone Craft Materials:
- Various colors of construction paper (primary colors work great)
- Scissors and/or paper cutter
- Glue
Create a Paper Xylophone
1) Cut strips of paper that are between 1 and 1.5 inches wide
2) Have their length taper down from 6.5″
3) Glue to paper lengthwise
4) Make drum-type sticks with brown paper and glue on top
My girls had so much fun creating this craft. It is one that you don’t need to be perfect for and the end result is just fine. If you have a little one who is working on cutting you could also incorporate that into this project (but a paper cutter WILL make it go by quickly). We always struggle when it come to Letter X for show and tell and now we have the perfect xylophone craft that we can do year after year!
