Ahh, the thrill of a coupon victory gets your adrenaline going! I just returned home from CVS where I took advantage of the great Thanksgiving week freebies. This year CVS did something extra and special. They put out a 4 day ad that was chock full of freebies. PLUS they have their Thanksgiving 3 Day sale as well. To see the sales prices, check out the CVS Thanksgiving Week Freebies 4 Day Sale post.

I purchased everything in the photo above for $3.50 total – and that includes tax! I broke down my shopping trip in to four transactions since I was starting with (gasp) zero ExtraBucks. Here is what I did:
Transaction 1: Children’s Advil, $2.37. Used $1.50/1 printable coupon. Subtotal: 87¢, Total $1.04. Received $2.37 ECB
Transaction 2: Fruit Snacks (substituted since they were out of Scooby Doo), $2.00. Refresher, $1.50 – $1.00 Printable coupon. Sprite, 99¢. Used $2.37 ECB from Transaction 1. Subtotal: $1.12, Total: $1.26. Received $2.00 ECB, $1.00 ECB, 99¢ ECB.
Transaction 3: Charmin Basic, 99¢. Advil, $2.99. Glade Warmer, $1.25 – used $1.00/1 printable coupon. Used $2.00 ECB, $1.00 ECB, 99¢ ECB from Transaction 2. Subtotal: 1¢. Total: 24¢. Received $2.75 ECB, $1.25 ECB, 99¢ ECB.
Transaction 4: Powerade, $1.00. Cepacol, $1.00. Hot Wheels, $1.00. Play Dough, $1.00. Kleenex, $1.00. Used $2.75 ECB, $1.25 ECB, 99¢ ECB.from Transaction 3. Subtotal: 1¢. Total: 32¢. Received five $1.00 ECB’s.
The beauty about this shopping trip is that these are all things that are family will use! They gave me the Thanksgiving Day ad while I was in paying and there are free batteries at CVS starting on Thanksgiving.
If you have the time, and a few extra dollars (literally), it truly is worth shopping at CVS for the freebies this week. Start your transactions out small. I suggest starting with the Glade since there is a $1.00 coupon and you will pay $25¢ out of pocket, and receive a $1.00 ExtraBuck (ECB) reward. Then take that dollar ECB and roll it into more transactions. Grab yourself some free Kleenex, Play-Doh, Hot Wheels, Coke, and more!
