There is a reason to go to the movie theater this weekend. Disney’s Planes Fire and Rescue is now in theaters. We were invited to an advanced showing of Fire and Rescue the other night and I was pleasantly surprised with how much I liked this movie. Please note: all opinions in this post are completely honest and my own. I haven’t seen Disney Planes so I cannot make any comparison between the two movies. You can definitely watch Fire and Rescue without having seen the prequel. Find out what I thought about this movie below.

About Disney Plans Fire and Rescue
“Planes: Fire & Rescue” is a new comedy-adventure about second chances, featuring a dynamic crew of elite firefighting aircraft devoted to protecting historic Piston Peak National Park from raging wildfire. When world famous air racer Dusty (voice of Dane Cook) learns that his engine is damaged and he may never race again, he must shift gears and is launched into the world of aerial firefighting. Dusty joins forces with veteran fire and rescue helicopter Blade Ranger and his courageous team, including spirited super scooper Dipper (voice of Julie Bowen), heavy-lift helicopter Windlifter, ex-military transport Cabbie and a lively bunch of brave all-terrain vehicles known as The Smokejumpers. Together, the fearless team battles a massive wildfire and Dusty learns what it takes to become a true hero. Directed by Bobs Gannaway (“Secret of the Wings”), “Planes: Fire &Rescue” hits theaters in 3D on July 18, 2014.
I enjoyed this movie. I love the themes of friendship, perseverance, and teamwork. The jokes thrown in for the adults are worth a good chuckle. The end of Fire & Rescue is my favorite. The colors are vivid and the plot intense in a kid friendly way. This is a great teachable movie. Afterwards you can discuss forest fires and fire safety with your children.
Don’t delay, get your tickets to see Disney Planes Fire & Rescue tonight!
