TheElf on the shelf is a fantastic Christmas tradition. There is one rule when it comes to the elf….you mustn’t touch the elf or he will lose his magic and be unable to return to your house. This is serious business in our house. There is absolutely no accidental touching of the elf. Ever.
So this year Santa left a note for the elf to bring on the morning of Christmas Eve. This letter grants the girls permission to touch the elf before they hop in bed on Christmas Eve. They are allowed to touch, hug, kiss, and say their good-byes to elf with the reminders to be gentle and not fight.
I am positive that this will be a huge, huge hit in the morning and that the girls will be counting down the hours until they get to say good-bye to their favorite elf friend. Below you will find a “From the Desk of Santa Claus” image. You can save this to your computer and make your own Christmas letter. Use a site like PicMonkey to add some personalized text to the letter.
Whatever your holiday traditions, we hope your month of December brought you at least one smile and one memory that you will cherish forever!
