Sometimes you just want to give people money. But giving money can feel weird and a little bit tacky….thus why gift cards were invented. Cash is king and finding clever ways to give money makes giving it even more fun. For my younger daughters Christmas present this year I made dollar flowers. It is so simple!

To turn the dollars into flowers I folded a dollar bill accordion style from end to end. I found that smaller folds worked best for me. However, the bigger folds still work.

Then I bent the accordion in half both ways. I taped two of the same ends together which formed a semi-circle. Then I taped the other side together and it turned the dollar into a flower, which also looks like a wheel.
I attached the flower to a pencil since this is a gift for a teacher. It was actually my intent to use pipe cleaners but Little Sister brought pencils instead. Since it is a gift for her teacher I went with it.
This is a simple dollar flower…if you search the internet you will find much more complex ways to turn dollars into flowers.
If you are looking for another cute way to give money consider turning it in to a book.
