There are a few smart phone apps that really save consumers money. One app that you may not know about is Wrapp. Wrapp is a great way to give your Facebook friends free gift cards. The three caveats are that you must have a smart phone, must connect it to your Facebook account, and a Facebook friend or two must use Wrapp as well.
When you open the Wrapp app you will see many different brands. If you click on those brands you will see either the words FREE or BUY in a little yellow box. Clearly you want to find FREE gift cards to send to friends. Then you click your friends name and send them a gift card. When sending free gift cards to friends you do not enter any of your own bank account/credit card information, which always make me feel better!
The current free gift cards I see in my app include $6 H&M, $5 Office Depot, $15 Little Black Bag, $10 Co-Ed Supply, and $5 Happy Socks. There are other gift cards you can purchase and a few coupon codes (like a $5/$30 Petsmart).
I received a $5 Office Depot Wrapp card and used it to purchase a 96 count Crayola box at Office Depot for $1.20 out of pocket. I was pretty impressed by the great deal!
Why don’t you hear more about Wrapp? That’s a good question. I believe it is because there isn’t an affiliate program that pays bloggers to spread the word. When people are making money promoting something there is a lot more advertising for it. Wrapp is one of those apps that I tell everyone about because who doesn’t love freebies? My mother-in-law uses it too.
You will hear more about Shopkick and Ibotta because those apps have referral/affiliate programs. In fact, both of the links over there are my referral links. I use Shopkick when I shop at Target and love checking the deals on Ibotta. I am so happy that there is a good sampling of healthier foods being features on Ibotta lately.
