While I was in middle school, high school, and college I helped my mom at her bookkeeping business. I was probably one of the only people in my high school who knew Quickbooks shortcuts. 🙂 When my husband and I were married we used Quickbooks for about a year and then switched to Money for a bit. We hated Money and quickly changed to Quicken. Quicken worked very well for us and we were happy when we used it. When we bought our Mac we ran in to compatibility issues. We liked the PC version of Quicken but not the Mac version. My husband recalled an article he read about Mint.com and signed up FOR FREE! Since then, I have heard a ton of aww’ing over the program. It is safe to say that we both prefer Mint.com over any of the programs previously mentioned.
I will not even attempt to give you a run down of what Mint.com does since you will be able to google many articulate articles regarding this financial genius software. The top features that I love about mint.com include:
- It is free!!! There is absolutely no charge to use this program.
- You can view your information from any computer with the internet
- Renaming is easy
- Setting your budget is simple
- Colorful graphs display your spending
- Always up to date
