It’s always fun to find new stores to shop and it doesn’t matter if these stores are new because they were tucked away on a street you rarely drive down or if they are new because of recent construction.  Every time I drive the 20+ minutes down to Atlanta I am always amazed by stores I didn’t know existed!  That is true about dds Discounts, a store that recently expanded in the Atlanta market when they opened a brand new store in Decatur, Georgia.

dd’s kicked off their Decatur opening by discussing dd’s trends without the spend, the importance of the Atlanta market and the local community. They also had a special fashion show put on by the local Samuel L. Jones Boys & Girls Club, where the kids modeled new back-to-school outfits from dd’s. The outfits were priced head-to-toe for around $30 each.

Did you catch that last part….HEAD-TO-TOE outfits for $30 each?!?!  That is every parents dream.  I love finding deals (and using coupons) so I can dress my girls in their outfits and accessories for as little out of pocket as I possibly can.  Going to stores like dd’s means my dollars will stretch because my girls always find fancy dresses that cost a fraction of the price of stores at the mall.

You may wonder what dd’s stands for (I know I did).  The answer is one that makes you go “ahhh, that makes sense.”  dd’s stand for deep discounts.  Love it!  They are part of the Ross Family.  At dd’s you will find items for the home, women, kids, and men.

My girls and I recently shopped at dd’s.  I was reminded of Marshalls and Ross (which makes sense since dd’s and Ross are sister stores).  dd’s is a discount wonderland with many treasures to be found and purchased!  We just recently moved into our new house and I had a shopping list of items we needed for the house.  The girls saw the clothing section and headed straight there.  Along the way they found the back to school section and each declared that they needed a stationary set that came with a calculator.  Who was I to argue – fashion versus academics?  I will definitely choose academics!  We also picked up some children’s underwear which were great bargains.  For the house I bought a new doggy bed, washcloths, a napkin holder, and an over the door hook (for belts, hats, reusable shopping bags, and more).  Everything in the photo below was $48.42 + $3.39 in sales tax.  Woohoo!
