I received free tickets to see one performance of Click Clack Moo performed at the Center for Puppetry Arts . All thoughts and opinions expressed in this post are my own.
There is a new show at the Center for Puppetry Arts in Atlanta and it is my favorite show to date! Click Clack Moo: Cows that Type was one of our favorite books when our girls were little (seriously, we had it memorized). This book won a 2001 Caldecott Honor and is on the National Education Association’s list of “Teachers’ Top 100 Books for Children.” It comes as no surprise that all of this barnyard fun was adapted into an incredibly cute play.

Why I Enjoyed This Show
We have seen several Center for Puppetry Arts shows and Click Clack Moo is my favorite…and my daughters’ favorites too. Why? As I mentioned before, we were familiar with this story, so that probably helps. For this production you are able to see the puppeteers. As magical as puppets are, it was incredible being able to watch the puppeteers operate the puppets throughout the show. They are so talented. The story is super cute. The Center for Puppetry Arts made the production interactive. There is a dancey hand movement part that includes the audience as well as parts for you to say the words and even sing a little. Being involved in the show just makes things much more fun.
Have you read this story? If you are in the Atlanta area, will you make it in to see the show?
