Weekend Family Fun: Free Family Activities June 4th and June 5th

Happy Weekend everyone!  Can you believe it is the first weekend of June?  Hopefully you have nice weather.  Here in Atlanta it is already waaaay too hot.  But, the weekend is here and it is time to get out of the house and do something fun!  It is possible to find free activities to do with your children each weekend at major retailers coast to coast. These free family events are fun for everyone. You don’t have to break the bank to get out of the house and have fun without spending a fortune!

Bank of America: Saturday June 4th and Sunday June 5th
It’s the first full weekend of the month.  If you have a Bank of America card be sure to check the calendar to see what museums have free admission near you.

Bass Pro Shops: Saturday June 4th and Sunday June 5th from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm each day
Create a Camp Scene Doorknob hanger.  If you happen to still be in the store at 7:00 you can make some s’mores as well!

Borders: Saturday June 4th at 2:00 pm
Double Dog Dare Challenge.  There will be trivia, literacy games, and more.  Perfect for children ages 8 through 12.

Disney Store: Saturday June 4th at 10:30 am, 12:00 pm, and 1:30 pm
Join Disney Store for fun events every Saturday as they celebrate the upcoming release of Cars 2.  The minimum age for participation is 3. Event limited per session based on store capacity. No lineups prior to 30 minutes before event begins. Event subject to change or cancellation without notice. Outlet stores excluded. Call store for more information.

Home Depot: Saturday June 4th from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm
Children will create a Valet Organizer – perfect for Dads!  (My husband really wants this!)

JoAnn Farbic and Craft Store: Saturday June 4th from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm
11:00 am to 1:00 pm – Papercrafting with Fiskars and Colorbok, 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm – Jewelry-Making with Darice, 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm – Jewelry Making with CK Success

Lakeshore Learning: Saturday June 4th from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm
Children will make an Under the Sea puppet show.  This looks adorable!

Michaels: Sunday May 22nd from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm
Create 3D customized keepsakes Bravissimo styles.  Adult craft only.

Toys R Us: Saturday June 12th from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm
Join in the Megazord Demo Day.  Play with the new Megazord toy from the Power Rangers show.

Walmart: Various time throughout the weekend
Check to see if your local Walmart has any demonstrations, samples, or events planned this weekend.
