This deal will not work here. Walgreens will scan the store coupon first taking off 1.00 and then that leaves 1.99 which is lower than the $2 coupon. They will not take the second coupon because its exceeds the price by .01.
Will it work if you have a filler item?
I think it just depends on your store and cashier. My store recommended that I use those coupons together at checkout. 🙂 I had a bunch of cheap school supplies in my order that made up for the penny difference.
