When it comes to decorating for Christmas I used to be a Scrooge….. That is until our family visited Stone Mountain Park Christmas last weekend. My reservations about skipping the beautiful season of Fall and the wonderful Thanksgiving holiday were thrown out the window. Christmas truly is the most wonderful time of the year.
I was provided with complimentary tickets to Stone Mountain Christmas. Opinions and experiences shared here are all honest and my own. I wrote about this event for Atlanta With Kid and was not required to write about it at Coupons Are Great.

The Stone Mountain Park Christmas experience has so much to offer people who are visiting. In fact, we didn’t get to see everything in the 4+ hours we were there. You know what that means? We are headed BACK to Stone Mountain soon (with snow pants so we can tube and build igloos at Snow Mountain).

At Stone Mountain you have the opportunity to meet Santa, Mrs. Claus, the Snow Angel, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, and Bumble the Abominable Snow Monster.

Activities at Stone Mountain Christmas include a parade, S’more making, cookie decorating, the Sing-Along Christmas Train, Polar Express 4-D Experience and five live shows: Forever Christmas, Toyrific, A Crossroads Christmas Carol, Holly Jolly Cabaret, and The Gift.
As I mentioned above, we didn’t have time to do everything. My girls LOVED the Sing Along Christmas Train. My advice for you….take hats and gloves on the train ride. The train is open and it gets breezy and chilly on the train. The Polar Express 4-D Experience was also amazing and my girls are still talking about that as well. My girls do complain about the 3D glasses wherever we go so I may just order these 3D Christmas glasses from Amazon to take with us.
Unfortunately we didn’t make it to any of the live events. I really want to see them, and they are first on our itinerary next time!

The night ends with fireworks and SNOW!!! This was probably the highlight of the night. And let me tell you…..finding the best of all of this spectactularness is pretty hard. The night was magical and amazing. I am way more excited about Christmas than ever before after visiting Stone Mountain Park’s Christmas event.
If you attend this attraction (which is open through January 1), I hope you enjoy it as much as we did!
