By now I may have convinced a few of you that there are many advantages to Mystery Shopping. A few of you may have shopped a few jobs. If you are anything like I was when I first started, then you may not be keeping track of it all. It wasn’t until 2010 that I decided I needed to know the who, what, when, where, and how much of my mystery shops.
A few weeks ago I posted that I keep track of my rebates with Google Documents, so it should come as no surprise that I track mystery shopping the same way.
I have my spreadsheet set up with the following columns : Date accepted, due date, store, store address, company, website (link so I can log in easily), time frame, expense limit, fee paid, total paid, date completed, method of my payment, date payment received, and profit/loss. Jobs start out white when I enter them and change to blue when completed. Upon receiving payment the fields turn green.
I was constantly searching my inbox for the link to sign up to jobs. Putting it on my spreadsheet made life much easier! As soon as I get an email confirmation that I have been accepted as a shopper I head to my google document and put the information in my spreadsheet. My husband has the link to my document so he can see when we are going to family dinners or events as mystery shoppers.
