Holiday Gift Guide: Save Your Memories with PeggyBank + Giveaway

December 1, 2012 by Leandrea Voskanian

When you think about your childhood do you conjure images of Video Cassettes and 35mm camera film?  Do you have a VHS full of happy holidays from the 80’s or 90’s tucked away in a closet but no VCR handy to watch them?  It’s time….time to convert our old photos and videos into a digital format that works with the year 2012.  Preserve, organize, and share your memories with PeggyBank – and give a great present in doing so!

PeggyBank digitizes our old media and gives us a place to view them online in the PeggyVault.  You can also have a flash drive or DVD of your data mailed to you.  From VHS tapes to photo negatives, PeggyBank can take care of your digitizing needs!

We recently stripped our old photo albums, put the pictures into a box, and threw out the actual albums.  We knew we needed to convert those photos to a digital form, but the thought of scanning one photo after another after another made me want to cry.  The thought of the box sitting in our closet for month after month was also not an option.

I have shipped approximately 150 photos to PeggyBank and am anxiously awaiting the email telling me that my vault is ready to view.  I chose to view the PeggyVault and download my own images at a cost of $5 verses having a flash drive mailed to me (a cost of either $14.99 or $19.99 – I can’t remember which).  After calling customer service they assured me that the images hosted online are the exact same file size as the ones mailed on the flash drive.  Sure, it’s a little extra work for me, but it’s also a little more money that I save!

When I receive access to my digitized photos I will be able to share my PeggyVault with family and friends.  How easy is that?  I don’t need to worry about burning DVD’s to mail.  All I need to do is send a link!  I can’t wait to see the quality of my PeggyBank photos.

PeggyBank is a wonderful gift for the holidays.  I know I would be elated if someone sent me a PeggyBank gift code!
