Holiday Gift Guide: Prima Princessa Presents: The Nutcracker {Giveaway} (ends 12/01)
Undeniably The Nutcracker is a holiday tradition for many. For the past 4 years I have been anxiously awaiting the Christmas season when I could introduce The Nutcracker to my girls and have them really appreciate it. This goal was met when NCircle Entertainment released Prima Princessa Presents: The Nutcracker.
Boys and girls will become immersed in excerpts from England’s world famous Birmingham Royal Ballet. There are several intermissions where children are taught how to do ballet steps that were just demonstrated including the passé, glissade, sauté, sauté arbaresque, and echappe sauté.. Not only are the children taught the steps, but then everything is replayed. Seriously, the creators of this DVD deserve a million kudos. Clearly they had children like mine sitting beside them saying “Mommy, can I see that again?” My girls have asked to watch this 60 minute DVD over and over again! My four-year-old had this to say: “It’s super fun. I love it. I just love the rats.” (Apparently she hasn’t caught on to my irrational fear of rodents just yet).
Included on the disk are extras including Holiday Crafts, Holiday Freeze Dancing, Arm Position, and more! My girls cannot get enough of the Holiday Freeze Dance. I took a video to share. They decided that they needed their leotards and one decided she needed her tiara. In the video (click here to watch if you are an email subscriber or cannot see the player video) you can hear the ballerina fairy say “Encore, encore.” This is how each segment is presented twice. Genius!
I really love that this DVD is geared at both boys and girls. It is a perfect DVD addition for any family this holiday season! One lucky Coupons Are Great winner will see just how cool Prima Princessa Presents: The Nutcracker really is! A huge thank you goes out to NCircle Entertainment who extends their giveaways to Canada as well.
