There is so much to know in the world of blogging. First, there’s how to set up your blog. Writing the actual posts takes times and fits in as the next piece. Then there’s the whole world of SEO and having search engines find your blog. There’s also the social media piece of blogging that puts your typed work in front of potentially thousands of people. Blogging is work, that’s for sure. Hard work. Luckily, things like CoSchedule exist so bloggers can step away from the computer! I was hooked after the free 2 week trial. CoSchedule increases time and productivity while blogging.
What is CoSchedule
CoSchedule is a social media editorial calendar for WordPress that allows you to schedule your blog and social media on the same drag-and-drop calendar. It helps you grow your traffic AND saves you time all at once.
There is a monthly fee associated with CoSchedule. Y’all know that I budget my money and love to save my hard earned money. I also really like stepping away from the computer and spending time with my family and not having that voice nagging in the back of my head saying “you don’t have anything scheduled/posted.” I decided that CoSchedule was worth the money and paid for a year’s subscription. I took a big gulp when I paid that bill. It has been several weeks now and I have not had buyer’s remorse even once. Using CoSchedule is easy. Easy, easy, peasy.
Right away you are thinking: “But I don’t want to pay full price!” Neither did I. If you pay annually CoSchedule offers a discount. There is also a referral plan that reduces the amount you pay each month if you get other bloggers to sign up using your referral link. Here’s mine: Click Here (thanks so much!).
Time Management Problems Solved
Now that I am using CoSchedule my time management has gotten much better. I spend a little bit of time scheduling social media posts and am able to focus on writing content and spending time with my family!
How CoSchedule Works
You can use CoSchedule by logging in to their website OR you can use CoSchedule in the dashboard section of your WordPress, self-hosted website.
How to Use CoSchedule
CoSchedule offers a drag and drop calendar visual editorial calendar that you can fill with social media posts. One tweet per post is (gasp) not good enough when the lifespan of a tweet is so short. With CoSchedule you can schedule multiple tweets in a matter of seconds. The same goes for Faebook posts. Schedule your posts the day of publication, the day after publication, a week later, a month later, or at a custom date. I typically post the same update on both Twitter and Faceboo which saves even more time.
To make things even easier on you the social share numbers are displayed on the calendar next to each published post. That means you can see how well your social campaigns are performing at a quick glance.
Try CoSchedule for FREE!
CoSchedule offers a free trial. With CoSchedule you will be able to get help in to key areas – publishing on a more consistent basis and having a bigger presence on social media. This 2-minute video is a pretty persuasive force.
