Our Creativity For Kids Craft Party #CreativityforKids

August 28, 2012 by Leandrea Voskanian

Crafts are a big part of our household.  I was beyond excited to be selected to host a MomSelect Creativity For Kids in-home party.  Our party box was filled to the brim with goodies.  Crafty goodness is always welcome at our house.

Last week we met up with our friends and had so much fun creating Tie Dye Bandanas,  Fashion Bracelets, and Stuck on Fashion Tote Bags.

The bracelets were the biggest hit with the girls.  There were so many things to decorate with.  From ribbons to sparklies, Creativity for Kids packed the Fashion Bracelets set with everything you need.  When I say everything, I mean everything – there are even scissors included in the kit.  The Fashion Tote Bag was a perfect bag (and wallet) to decorate that is very purposeful.  Big Sister insisted on carrying all of our Aldi produce in hers.  The Tie Dye bandanas were the most complex activity we tackled and it was hard.  I think you need to have Camp Counselor knowledge to be able to make great tie dye projects.  The girls had a hard time squirting the squirt bottle and getting far enough away to make good patterns.  Out of all the crafts we received, this is the only one that I do not give a five star rating.

The kid each took home a Mandalas and More Coloring Book.  I love the hidden math skills the kids will learn.  Can you symmetry?

Over the weekend my girls worked on the Deluxe Glitter Art set at home.  The love their special little boxes which are now homes to treasures and Squinkies.

I have wanted to try these kits before after seeing them at JoAnns, but I was uncertain if my girls (ages 6 and 4.5) would get enough bang for our buck since the recommended age on most (if not all) products is 7+.  After trying these kits out ourselves I WILL buy more Creativity for Kids kits because they are all inclusive and so much fun.  They would be a great addition to a birthday party, three day weekend, or even an independent activity.  With a 40% off coupon at Joanns there is no way I can pass up the Sew Cute Animals since Big Sister wants to sew more and more.

We received more in our party box than we had children to give the kits to.  So, we will be donating to Toys for Tots and a Women’s Shelter.  These kits truly made my girls day more fun (and sparkly) and I want to share that feeling with more little girls.

If you made it this far and you are thinking “WAIT!  What about my boy?” Don’t worry!  There is a whole Boy Zone that has lots of activities that are geared towards boys too.

If you are feeling crafty be sure to check out our Craft Tutorials.

Disclaimer:  I received this party box from MomSelect.  I was not required to post about it.  All opinions are honest and my own.
