Random, random, random thoughts sometimes lead to random posts. 🙂
The last three nights in a row we have had thunderstorms in Atlanta. Some of these storms make it sound like trains are hitting each other in the sky. Sometimes the lightening is so bright it is like you momentarily turned on a light only to have it burn out very quickly.
On Facebook one of the weather reporters had a status update that said “Remember, don’t wash your hands during the storm?” Of course I was like “WHAT?!?!” Is that Urban Legend? Would a weather man be making this up? No way!
So I did some research. Sure enough…The National Weather Service tells us to not wash your hands, take a shower, or wash dishes during a storm. This threat is not as great in buildings with PVC piping instead of metal piping. But still…..I think I found a reason to not do the dishes.
Stay safe in storms….and tuck this random thought away for a stormy day!
Once when it was storming I was washing utensils and picked up a knife that was still touching my stainless steel sink and got zapped. It was pretty freaky – not life threatening, obviously, but it hurt!
