Family is great and I love spending time with my family! Our last two weeks have been fun…but there aren’t a lot of photos from that time period. Here is what I do have.

We are making our way through Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons. For every 10 lessons the girls do, they get $5.00. Little Sister completed her ten lessons and was so excited for her reward. Her reading is coming along nicely. I heart phonics! Be sure to check out 5 Tips to Get Your Child to Read where there is more information about Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons.
I ordered the uncrustables tool from a Pampered Chef party and it has made Big Sister want peanut butter and jelly sandwiches in her school lunch. I have a feeling this is the best money on lunch supply tools that I will spend all year. Some whole wheat bread, organic jelly, and peanut butter and we have a yummy sandwich!
We saw Sesame Street Live at Philips Arena. If we had been 2 rows further down we would have been able to touch Zoey. That was pretty cool. Both girls really liked Sesame Street Live. OK, Little Sister really liked it and Big Sister liked it but said that Super Why Live was better. That totally makes sense based on her age! Seeing live performances is always so much fun. I highly recommend them!
Can you believe we have lived in Atlanta for 6 years and never been to the CNN center? After Sesame Street live we walked through the CNN center and the girls now want to live there. The combination of Dunkin Donuts, the glass elevator, and the escalator that goes up to the globe it truly does seem like one of the happiest places in Atlanta!
After Sesame Street Live and the CNN center we walked across the street to Centennial Olympic Park where there was some animal’ish road show. The girls got their faces painted and got balloon animals. Big Sister was so happy for her bunny on a leash…until the bunny popped an hour later. I accidentally committed that crime and I was in the dog house big time. Or was it the bunny house? Either way I felt the wrath of an almost six year old for quite a few hours.
We also had a 6th birthday party for Big Sister at the America Girl Bistro. I plan on writing all about our experience in a post later today. If you want the cliff notes – it was really fun, the food is delicious (no lie!) and waiting until 7 or 8 is a good idea.
The next Family is Great post will have more birthday party pictures….until then…have a great week!
