As many of us know, October is National Breast Cancer awareness month.  It seems like everyone knows at least one person who has been diagnosed with breast cancer.  One day we will win against cancer, but it is going to take a lot of research to get there.  The Freschetta Proud to Support Pink Program does just that.  From September 25th to October 31st when you purchase specially marked packages of Freschetta pizzas and Artisan pizza crusts you will be helping reach their goal of $50,000 to be donated to the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.  Specially marked packages are printed with codes that you can enter at www.ProudToSupportPink.com.  Each entry is worth 1$ to this center to support breast cancer research, up to $50,000.

Additionally, there is a place for breast cancer survivors to share their journey or the journey of a friend.  To encourage participation Freschetta is giving away 50 pink iPod shuffle players each week in October.  Oooh, I want one!!!  They are also gviving away 50 pink iPod Shuffles each week in October to four cancer centers across Amercia to be enjoyed by breast cancer patients during treatment.  I absolutely LOVE that!

Freschetta believes that frozen pizza shouldn’t simply taste better, it should be better.  Thhey use all real cheeses, sauces made out of tomatoes picked at the peak of their ripeness, premium meats, and great recipes.
