Children are able to capture the world through perspective that is much different than adults. Allowing them to take photos is a terrific opportunity. Our Thoughts
My girls absolutely love this camera! They love taking pictures…..and they really love that they can edit the photos on the camera and play games on it as well. Sometimes I will randomly hear a robot talking…and it is the girls using the Kidizoom camera. They get a fit of giggles when they say silly things and replay it in the slooooow motion mode.
The photo quality is much better in daylight and outside than inside. There is no flash on this camera. Instead of one viewfinder (like adult cameras), the Kidizoom has two viewfinders (much like the old, red View Master toy I had as a child. Did you have one too?). This makes it so easy for the kids use!
I will say that the USB cord provided this this camera is annoyingly short. We are talking maybe 12 inches in length. It’s not ideal, but it gets the job done. I didn’t have to worry about the girls whipping each other with it.
Would I buy this camera for my child with the sole purpose of them taking picture perfect photos? Absolutely not. Would I buy this camera for my child to explore and start learning the basics of photography. Absolutely. This camera is a great package since it comes with all those extra features!

Tonight there was a great War between mermaids and Pirates! The mermaids are 4 and 6 and the Pirates are 9 and 1! The mermaids seemed to have the situation under control, even looked as though they may win the battle when the vicious 1 year old pirate took out his nasty war technique of biting!! The mermaids ran screaming to their Salton who eminently put an end to the battle! This was our evening.. 🙂 very similar to every evening with different attire! 🙂

One of our favorite family activities is reading. My daughter is only 3 years old so I read to her. We usually read several books throughout the day and she loves it! We also love going on picnics at the park!

We love going for a walk as a family in a nearby nature park for injured birds of prey. It’s 2 miles of wooden walkways that winds through a Cypress Grove and at one point, clear over a lake to an observation tower before it winds back to the habitats for the birds. They have owls, hawks, a golden eagle, and a bald eagle. It’s pretty neat and totally free to do.

One of my favorite family activities is when we go for Saturday (or Sunday drives). We just pack in the car and drive the back roads for an hour or two and explore. We found a really cute quiet park one time.
