When it comes to showing teacher appreciation there are a million ideas. With Pinterest being so popular we are able to find more teacher appreciation ideas than we know what to do with! It seems that many of these gift ideas revolve around food, lotions, and body washes. I was a teacher and I loved all of the presents my students brought me….so much that I gained more than 10 pounds in my first 4 months of teaching. Now that I am a parent I try my best to not send in edible (or smelly) gifts for teachers. I love giving movie ticket gifts. You can pick up a 2 pack of AMC Gold Tickets at Costco for a discount.
Creatively Wrapped Movie Ticket Gift Idea
I have a very hard time keeping it simple, so we tucked our movie tickets into a Lights, Camera, Action Movie Marker. All you need is black paper (I used black poster board leftover from the Graduation Cap Tutorial for one and black construction paper for the second), white crayons, white puffy paint (it’s less than a dollar at Walmart), or a white paint Sharpie, white paper, a ruler, and a brad (optional). The rest of the design is basically just making straight lines and printing words. Using a paper cutter I cut the white paper into strips.
I included a faux movie title, the name of the school, school year, teacher, and my daughter’s name on the body of the movie marker. Big Sister decided that the movie marker written with white crayon is not nearly as cool as the one written with puffy paint. The fun part about this craft is it can be over the top or pretty plain. It’s up to you to decide! This movie ticket gift is perfectly personalizable.
