I am pretty sure I haven’t mentioned this before…..but my husband and I are doing Insanity. If you are not familiar with this workout let me just sum it up for you. It is an intense, insane cardio workout meant for people who are already in good shape. You will sweat, you will feel defeated, you will be sore, you will work hard. Extremely hard.
After running the Georgia Publix Half Marathon in March my husband and I felt confident that we could tackle Insanity again….and maybe even come close to finishing it. You see, we have a cruise this summer and we would both like nothing more than to lose a little bit of weight. Who wouldn’t right? So we started waking up an hour early every day and turning on Insanity. We haven’t followed the program exactly….but we have done pretty well.
Month 2 of Insanity started this week and I have never been more amazed with a workout video in my life. Just when I thought that I had mastered an intense video series I found out that I was WRONG. Words cannot even begin to describe how I felt on Monday when the second month started. Holy crap kind of starts to describe my feelings….but aren’t the most accurate words! The video was seriously insane and I didn’t know that my body could do those exercises. My emotions ranged from proud to defeated all in an instant.
At the end of the day I am exhausted. Sometimes I don’t feel like deal hunting, and you know what? It’s OK! We all need little breaks now and then.
So tell me, what is your favorite workout? Are you training for anything? I have another half marathon penciled in for the fall. I am certain that Insanity has helped with my core work and will help with my training for that as well!
