Whoa, our puppy turned seven last week. It hardly seems right that seven years have flown by so quickly. While going through the album labeled “Lucky” I realized just how big a role our dog plays in our life. Here is the very first picture we have of him…….
He was an absolute little fluff ball! Here are some stats about Lucky: He is a seven-year-old cockapoo who loves pulling the stuffing out of toys and is obsessed with squeakies. If left unattended he will knock over the garbage can and rummage through the contents. He also has the uncanny ability to open the pantry and tear open the bag of kitty treats. Lucky loves the girls (just to clarify, he loves my daughters!) and is great friends with the cat. Lucky loves long walks and chasing squirrels.
We actually didn’t spend Lucky’s birthday with him. He went to the vet that day to get his teeth cleaned. We listened when his doctor said he could get organ damage from icky teeth. The before and after speaks for itself.
Some of my friends may say I am a little crazy around birthday party time. Both of my girls pick a theme and I spend about 2 months researching, crafting, and creating (and hoping that they do not change their minds). When the girls decided that they wanted to have a birthday party for Lucky I let them run with it. I suggested some dog bone invitations as a craft and the idea was a hit!
We found adorable treat boxes at Walmart, which the girls took upon themselves to decorate and fill with goodies. Quite fittingly, the goodies were dog biscuits!
We invited some of Lucky’s best friends to his birthday party…..
And served them Kibbles ‘n Bits Bistro dog food
Aww, you can see that Lucky had a little boo boo from his date with the doctor. He kept licking where the IV was inserted so we had to wrap his arm to prevent it from getting infected.
I pride myself in being honest in every post that I publish……and I really didn’t think my dog would choose the new food over his tried and true old dog food. Yet, when given a choice between his old food (remaining unnamed) and the Kibbles ‘n Bit Bistro Meals Lucky inhaled the new food and would not touch his tried and true regular food. I would say this food was a huge success with our dog.
For some extra fun and a chance to win a $25 Gift Card to spend on your dog be sure to join the I Love My Dog Society on Whrrl. You can print a $3 coupon for the Kibbles ‘n Bit Bistro Meals. The sixteen-pound bag costs $11.48 and the coupon knocks the price down to $8.48.
If you would like to see even more of our Puppy Party you can view my Whrrl post and for first hand seats to the event. Sorry, no bone invitations will be mailed. 😉
