My husband and I started Insanity one week ago. Oh my gosh – it is called Insanity for a reason. I have worked out to a lot of different videos before and I have never had sweat drip off my body. In Insanity I am drenched from head to toe by the time the intense work out is over. This made us realize that we should be drinking one of the recovery drinks that is mentioned in every video. With a little bit of research my husband found a very cheap, super yummy alternative to the expensive recovery drinks.

Yep, that’s right – Chocolate Milk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There is even research out there that shows that chocolate milk is as effective as those fancy (expensive) drinks. I love that I can drink a glass of chocolate milk after an intense work out and it truly does my body good.
I will leave the researching up to you. If you are interested in using chocolate milk as a recovery drink then I am sure you will find plenty of studies!
